Meet Holly!
Holly is one of our dedicated and certified dog trainers with an impressive background. Holly works with in our Doghouse program, and we are thrilled to have her start up classes! Holly has a very impressive background in positive reinforcement training, here is some of her certifications and experience so you can feel safe knowing that you will be getting the best training for your dog.
- Specialized Training: Holly is a specialist in KPA Puppy Start Right training, ensuring your puppy receives the best foundation.
- Extensive Experience: With 15 years of professional dog training experience and the completion of the Dog Trainer Foundation
Course, Holly is well-equipped to guide you and your pup. - Certification Pursuit: She is actively working towards obtaining the KPA-CTP certification through the Karen Pryor Academy.
- Professional Affiliations: She is a supporting member of the IAABC and a member of the Pet Professional Guild, demonstrating her commitment to ethical training practices.
- Safety First: Holly is DOGSAFE Canine First Aid Certified, ensuring your dog’s well-being during training.
Puppy Foundations Classes
Puppy School is for puppies that are between the ages of 8 weeks to 16 weeks of age. In this 4 week class your puppy will meet new friends and learn how to explore the world creating a confident and well adjusted dog in the future. Through the power of positive reinforcement you will learn to teach your puppy the basic foundation behaviours that will be the building blocks for a successful and healthy relationship with your pup.
Prerequisites:
– Upon registration puppies need to be 8 week to 16 weeks of age
– First set of vaccinations 7 days prior to first class
– Proof of vaccinations from a veterinarian, or if vaccinations were done by a breeder, a clean bill of health is required by a veterinarian 7 days prior to first class

In our Puppy Foundation classes, we cover everything your young pup needs to thrive:
- Foundation Behaviours: Lay the groundwork for essential skills like sit, stay, and come.
- Understanding How Dogs Learn: Gain insights into your pup’s behavior and how to communicate effectively.
- Proactive Socialization: Ensure your puppy grows up well-adjusted and confident around other dogs and people.

- Positive Puppy Parenting: Become a proactive and positive puppy parent, fostering a strong bond with your pup.
- Relaxation Training: Teach your pup to unwind and be comfortable in various situations.

Puppy Starter Classes ($195.00 + tax):
Thursdays – October 3, 10 & 17, 2024 – 5:30pm to 6:15pm
Thursdays – November 14, 21 & 28, 2024 – 5:30pm to 6:15pm
Halloween Prep ($130.00 + tax):
Thursdays – October 10 & 17, 2024 – 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Holiday Prep ($130.00 + tax):
Thursdays – November 21 & 28, 2024 – 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Adult Manners Classes
Mind Your Manners class is for dogs 5 months and older. In 4 weeks you will learn how to get your dog to engage with you while out and about. We will also cover the foundation behaviours and how you can start to apply them into real life situations. Some of these behaviours are recall, loose leash walking, relaxation station, targeting, release cue, and so much more!
Prerequisites:
– Upon registration all dogs must be 5 months of age or older
– Must be up to date on all vaccinations and be able to provide proof
– Must be good with people and other dogs (if your dog is reactive to people/dogs please contact for private sessions or for more information)
What’s Covered in Adult Manners Classes:
In our Adult Manners classes, we focus on refining your dog’s behaviour and building a stronger bond:
- Loose Leash Walking: Say goodbye to the pulling and leash tangling during walks.
- Recall: Ensure your dog comes promptly when called, even in distracting situations.
- Targeting: Improve precision and focus, making training more effective.
- Mat Training: Teach your dog to stay calm and relaxed, no matter the environment.
- Distraction Training: Equip your dog with the skills to remain well-behaved around various distractions.
- Positive Associations: Foster a happy relationship through positive reinforcement.

Adult Manners Classes ($260.00 + tax):
Tuesdays – October 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2024 – 10:30am to 11:30am
Semi Private – for dogs 10 months and up ($130.00 + tax):
Dates TBA – 12:00pm to 1:00pm
