To help your donations go even further, we wanted to share a few of the treats and toys our shelter pets love and use most. Our dogs especially enjoy soft training treats like Zuke’s, and dehydrated liver, while our cats go crazy for Churu tubes and Temptations. Durable chew toys like KONGs, rope toys, and hard plastic indestructible toys are also always in demand. For Cats and Dogs
In order to ensure our dogs' tummies stay happy, we try to stay consistent with the food we give them! Beef Liver treats, small/soft training treats, and Bully Bunches chew sticks are always a safe bet. We also really like to give any of the Costco treats to our dogs.
Durable Dog Toys
As we have so many dogs that love to chew, we are always in great need of non-destructible toys like kongs, Jolly Eggs, hard outdoor balls, etc.
Dog Leashes and Collars
At LAPS, we use martingale collars for our dogs. We also use 6 foot leashes to ensure safety for the dogs and for our staff and volunteers.
Litterbox Mediums
We use cedar/pine litter pellets for our cats, but on occasion we'll have a particularly specific cat that's not a fan! We move those cats to clay! We would love clay litter donations.
