Every year LAPS finds new homes for hundreds of dogs and cats. If you’re looking for the perfect addition to your family, we can help. LAPS strives to match breeds and temperaments to potential owners to find the best match for both.
Come visit our dogs and cats at the shelter or check them out online. Current adoption hours are Monday – Sunday 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
If you are interested in a cat or kitten that is currently available for adoption, please fill out an adoption application. All cat adoptions require a successful interview with a LAPS representative.
If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten that is not yet available for adoption, you can fill out an application and we will keep it on file. We will continue taking applications until the day before the cat becomes adoptable. We will then review the applications and match the cat or kitten with a home. We often receive multiple applications for a particular cat or kitten, so we will contact all applicants and let them know if their application was successful.
At LAPS we go the extra mile to make sure our dogs will stay happily placed in their new homes. Find out more about our dog adoption program here.
The adoption fee is often the least expensive part of adding a new member to your family. Many dogs and cats come to LAPS in need of medical attention and some extra TLC. Adoption fees help us cover the cost of caring for Langley’s homeless animals.
Prior to adoption, all LAPS dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, tattooed or microchipped, and receive their first set of vaccinations. The adoption fee also includes a free check-up with a veterinarian within three days of adoption, six weeks of free pet insurance and a bag of premium Royal Canin food.
Our current fees are:
Senior Cats – 10 years or older – $75.00
Adult Cats – 6 months or older – $125.00
Kittens – 6 months or younger – $200.00
Senior Dogs – 7 years or older – $225.00
Adult Dogs – 6 months or older – $325.00
Puppies – 6 months or younger – $425.00
