LAPS kindly suggests taking the time to carefully read and consider all details before making the decision to adopt a pet.
| Meet Winnie!
Winnie is a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a huge personality packed into a little body. She is affectionate, funny, and full of quirky charm. She bonds quickly with people and loves being part of whatever is happening around her. One of Winnie's absolute favorite things in the world is playing fetch indoors. Toss her a ball down the hallway or across the living room, and she'll happily play for as long as you're willing. While she enjoys spending time outside—especially lounging in the sunshine—she isn't much of a walker and doesn't tolerate heat very well. Her ideal day is soaking up some sun, then coming back inside to cool off beside her people. Winnie gets along well with both dogs and cats. She can take a little longer to warm up to unfamiliar dogs than she does to people, but once she's comfortable, she does well. She can also be protective of her food, so feeding her separately from other pets is recommended. She's wonderfully adaptable and easygoing when it comes to sleeping. Whether it's her crate, a dog bed, the couch, or even the floor, she's perfectly content curling up wherever she feels comfortable. Medical Information We want to be completely transparent about Winnie's health. She has struggled with chronic skin allergies that cause itchy, red skin, along with recurring ear infections. We've tried several different food brands over the years, but unfortunately the issues have persisted. These ongoing medical needs are the reason we are making the incredibly difficult decision to rehome her. We simply can no longer afford the veterinary care and treatment she deserves. Our greatest hope is to find Winnie a loving family with the financial resources to continue working with a veterinarian to manage her allergies and give her the comfortable, happy life she deserves. This has been one of the hardest decisions our family has ever made. Winnie is deeply loved, and we are only pursuing rehoming because we genuinely believe it is in her best interest. We're committed to finding the right home—not just any home—for this sweet, lovable little girl. Please contact jeffstrong.bc@gmail.com for all inquires! |
