LAPS kindly suggests taking the time to carefully read and consider all details before making the decision to adopt a pet.
Meet Tootsie! 🐾
Tootsie is a one-year-old bundle of energy with a big personality and an even bigger love for fetch. This playful, affectionate girl is happiest when she’s spending time with her people—whether that’s tossing a ball, heading out on an adventure, or curling up for some well-earned cuddle time.
She’s very food motivated, which makes training both fun and effective. Tootsie already knows “sit” and is continuing to work on her manners, like taking treats gently and keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people. She’s eager to learn and has tons of potential with continued consistency and guidance.
Tootsie would likely do well with older, dog-savvy kids who understand her boundaries, but she’s not a fit for a home with young children. She’ll thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and positive reinforcement as she continues to learn.
This high-energy girl would love an active home—someone who’s up for long walks, runs, or outdoor adventures. She also has a sweet, softer side and is more than happy to snuggle up and relax after she’s had her exercise.
Tootsie prefers to be the only pet in the home. She’s still working through some leash pulling and dog reactivity, so she’ll need an adopter who’s committed to continuing her training. The good news? She’s smart, motivated, and full of promise.
Tootsie may have a few things to work on, but she’s incredibly loving, fun, and ready to form a strong bond with her person. With the right home, she’s going to shine.
