LAPS kindly suggests taking the time to carefully read and consider all details before making the decision to adopt a pet.
Meet Chance.
Chance was born on February 13, 2025, and all he’s ever wanted is what every dog deserves: a family to call his own.
Since he was born, Chance has been in six different homes. Not because he’s a bad dog. Not because he’s aggressive. Not because he’s done anything wrong.
He’s simply never found someone willing to see past his endless energy and recognize the incredible dog underneath.
Chance is full of life. He wakes up every day excited for the world, excited for people, excited for other dogs, excited for whatever adventure might come next. His enthusiasm is contagious. His love is limitless. And his heart is so big that sometimes it overflows into pure excitement.
People often fall in love with Chance because of how beautiful he is. His unique ears make him one of a kind, and his sweet face turns heads everywhere he goes. But then they discover how much energy he has, and they give up on him before giving him a real chance.
The truth is, his energy isn’t a flaw. It’s one of the most wonderful things about him.
Chance loves with his whole heart. He wants to play. He wants to explore. He wants to be included in every moment of your life. He wants to be your best friend.
He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and is doing very well. Sometimes his excitement gets the better of him when he sees other dogs, but he’s never been aggressive and has never bitten anyone. He just gets so happy that he forgets his manners for a moment.
Chance has also lived with other dogs and done well. He’s incredibly submissive and simply wants to play. Unfortunately, some dogs haven’t appreciated his enthusiasm, and he has found himself returned again and again.
Imagine how confusing that must be for a dog who keeps giving his heart away, only to lose the people he loves.
Yet somehow, Chance still wakes up every day hopeful.
Still trusting.
Still loving.
Still believing his family is out there.
What Chance needs isn’t perfection. He doesn’t need someone looking for a calm, lazy dog. He needs someone who will embrace his spirit, appreciate his joy, and understand that his excitement comes from a place of pure love.
Chance doesn’t need another home.
He needs his forever home.
He needs someone who won’t give up on him.
He needs someone willing to give him what he’s never truly had:
A chance.
And if you do, he’ll spend the rest of his life proving that he was worth it. ❤️🐾
