Being lost in a strange environment is a stressful situation for a dog or cat. The fastest way to help a pet found in Langley make its way home is to bring it to LAPS. You can also call the shelter so an Animal Control Officer can pick it up.

LAPS Patti Dale Animal Shelter is closed to the public on all statutory holidays. We will have an Animal Control Officer working in a limited capacity from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. If you have found a dog, please fill out a found report. The officer on duty will monitor the reports and will arrange to pick up found dogs and contact their owners.

If there is an animal control issue that requires immediate attention please leave a detailed message and an Animal Control Officer will get back to you as soon as possible.

An animal shelter is one of the first places people look for their pets. When you bring a found dog or cat to LAPS, you increase the chances of a happy ending if the owner comes looking. If the dog or cat has identification, such as a license, microchip or tattoo, we can use it to try to trace the owners.

If you have found a lost pet, please fill out the found report above. You can also file a found report with Petlynx, a database of lost and found pets.
